2. Description of Service
TerminalVEX is a free, browser-based educational platform that teaches terminal and command line skills through an AI-powered virtual terminal. The terminal is a simulation — no real system commands are executed.
3. Free Service
TerminalVEX is provided free of charge. You need your own API key from a supported AI provider (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter) to use the AI teaching features. Costs associated with AI API usage are your responsibility.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share your API key with others. You agree to use TerminalVEX only for lawful, educational purposes.
5. No Data Collection
TerminalVEX does not collect or store any user data on its servers. All data is stored locally in your browser. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. AI-Generated Content
The teaching content is generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors. TerminalVEX and Venivex are not responsible for inaccuracies in AI-generated content. Always verify commands before running them on real systems.
7. Virtual Terminal Disclaimer
The virtual terminal is a simulation for educational purposes only. It does not represent a real operating system. Some command behaviors may differ from actual terminal environments.
8. Intellectual Property
TerminalVEX, its design, and its curriculum are the intellectual property of Venivex. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the service without permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TerminalVEX is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of content, or fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
Venivex shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of TerminalVEX, including but not limited to damages from AI API costs, data loss, or misapplication of learned commands on real systems.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of TerminalVEX after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
